Polakowski - Local dining experience. Inexpensive hearthy food. Great soups!

U Pani Stasi - Uniquely Polish (Bar Mleczny" or "Milk Bar") canteen style restaurant. Expect being seated wedged between actors, Nobel Price winners and homeless people. Opened till they sell out which can be quite early ;-)

Endzior - The best (and The largest) breaded chicken cutlet with stewed cabbage. Also humongous ribs and famous "zapiekanka" (toasted baguette with different choice of toppings).

Bar Smak - "Brilliant. Not at the top of anyone’s list for a night of fine dining, that is not the point of Bar Smak. Instead this is a local place for local people, who cram on to the wooden tables to eat huge great portions of local delights, from cheap pierogi to great big golonka. Nothing on the menu costs more than 19zł, and you can eat like a Polish king for peanuts. We love it."

Fabryka Pizzy - Pizza, pasta & more

Chimera "Salad Bar" - Just make sure you do NOT go to Chimera Restaurant which is located in the same building but waaay more expensive!

Green Way - Vegetarian

Vega - Vegetarian ("Plenty of dishes, salads, deserts, teas (over 30) and juices, unique atmosphere and beautiful music. Is there anything more you need to fell yourself like at home?")

Pizza Dominium - Very good Pizza, pasta & salads

U Vincenta - A cult place for pierogi lovers! "Normally you'd expect just a few varieties to choose from, but this cosy place has concocted dozens of varieties, such as with chicken and pineapple and some vegetarian versions like the popular spinach and mozzarella, a variety of fruits or dried prunes. They also rustle up the special 'Vincent' dumpling with meat and lentils. Open daily from noon til evening, they also gladly do take-aways."
